The modern style reflects the decoration and architectural reflections of the current of modernism that began in the late 1800s. It is a variable, developing, design style without allegiances. Therefore, a design that reflects the modern style today may not reflect this style in the same way twenty years from now. For this reason, this design style which aims to evoke a calming effect and tends to use few materials, few patterns, few colors, can be aligned with trends, its rules and boundaries can be redefined. Therefore, it is a relative style that is quite open to interpretation.
In general, the power of contrasts can also be resorted to if it is applied using a single color and shades of that color. Mainly, warm and natural colors are preferred in color choices. Functions and functionality give direction to the choice. The tendency to create simple, tidy and functional spaces prevails. An ambiance is created that promises comfort and coziness n an artistic-looking living space.
I think my unrelenting drive for order is what makes me a modernist. It’s about creating an atmosphere with an economy of means and allowing anything extra or unnecessary to fall by the wayside. Thad Hayes
